ick st is my homage to san francisco by way of street photography. it includes highlights from my walks around the city from 2001-2011, with my camera and, often, Craig Koozer (with his camera). starting with medium format negatives and high resolution scans, i used my extreme digital masking technique to deemphasize extraneous parts of some of the photographs (highlighting the details that remain).

A Demolition documents the demolition of the GE Grosjean Rice Mill in San Francisco in the spring of 2002. as Craig Koozer notes in the zine: “I had admired and intended to photograph this crazy building for some time, but the wrecking ball got there first.” Simultaneously memorial and caution against procrastination.
